Radionuclide Scans - Others
Dacryoscintigraphy
Nuclear scan to evaluate tear duct drainage.
About this study
Dacryoscintigraphy evaluates the nasolacrimal drainage system. A small drop of radiotracer is placed in the eye and its drainage through the lacrimal system is monitored, helping diagnose tear duct obstruction.
How to prepare
Preparation depends on the tracer used. Reception will tell you the exact fasting and medication instructions when your slot is confirmed.
